Brief Note

  The Krishna District Co-Operative Marketing Marketing Society Ltd No.G2996, Vijayawada was newly registered on 24.06.1994 replacing the old DCMS which was liquidated on 27.08.1991. Though the society registered in the year 1994, No transactions were under taken to the year 2003. The Society was established in the year 2003 with Head-Quarters at Vijayawada.

                                    Our Co-operative Marketing Society was registered as per 1964 Act. With the main object of helping the farmers to secure better price for their produce by taking care of their market needs and providing agricultural inputs. Against this objective the KDCMS’s present activity consists of sale of farm inputs like chemical fertilizers, pesticides & seeds, maintenance of Godowns, Horticulture and agriculture inputs, Supply of Provisions , Oils, Stationary and Furniture for the Government Organisations in our District.

Establishment:

The District Co-operative Marketing society is having 5 regular employees and more than 20 members are working on non- regular/ employees. The K.D.C.M.S has taken up sales of   Provisions, fertilizers, paddy seeds and Horticultural inputs at our retail counters.

Share Capital & Member Ship

The authorized share capital is Rs.3,58,910 and paid of share capital is Rs.1,55,900/- out of which an amount Rs.2,03,010/- was transferred from old D.C.M.S. The   Total membership was 282 as follows.

Management :  

The Managing Committee constituted   under the Chairmanship of   Sri Kanchi Rama Rao and nine Directors who were elected and they assumed charge on 18.2.2013.  The District Co-operative Officer, the Joint Director of Agriculture, the Chief Executive Officer, the Krishna District Co-operative Central Bank Ltd, Machilipatnam are the members appointed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as official Directors to our society

Business activities:

In the year 2003, the District Co-operative Marketing society has supplied the qualitative potatoes through the DWACRA GROUPS in the 3 Rythu Bazaars in Vijayawada city.  Now we are selling all varieties of vegetables in 3 rythu bazaars Later we started the business of provisions, fancy, oils and other food item in our own stalls in the 3 Rythu Bazaars in Vijayawada city Further we are doing the contract for the supply of the provisions, oils  to all the welfare hostels and ICDS  Points in Krishna District. Further we are supplying the Bleaching and Lime to all the Gram Panchayats in Krishna District since last 8 years. We are selling the different varieties of the Paddy seeds in Krishna District .This year we are supplying the Horticultural Inputs on subsidy to farmers through our retail counters in Krishna District .Ever year we are selling Crakers during the Diwali season. we are supplying  the Stationery to all the government offices and supplying the Election material to all the   Panchayats elections in Krishna district.

PRESENT BUSINESS ACTIVITIES

  • Preposition of the complex fertilizers through Primary Agricultural Co-operative Credit societies in the district
  • Expand the business of Horticulture And Agriculture inputs in Krishna District to our Society
  • we are the whole sale dealers of the Standard fireworks Crakers. We sell these crackers at reasonable rates. We used to install stalls for a sale of crackers during the Diwali season EVERY YEAR
  • Bleaching And Lime Supply in all Gram Panchayats in Krishna District
  • provisions, fancy, oils and other food items in our own stalls in the 3 Rythu  Bazars in Vijayawada city
  • Paddy procurement through Civil Supply From the farmers as per government maximum support price.
  • Maiz procurement through APMARKFED From the farmers as per government maximum support price.
  • Stationery to all the Government offices and supplying the Election material to all the   Panchayats elections in Krishna district
